Child Counselling & Expressive Therapy

Child counselling and expressive therapy are not only about addressing challenges. They are spaces for children to express themselves, explore their emotions, and make sense of their experiences in ways that feel natural and safe.

Whether your child is experiencing anxiety, behavioural changes, or adjusting to life transitions, our practitioners offer gentle, age-appropriate support through play, creativity, and guided interaction.

Supporting children through play, creativity, and emotional expression.

Children often express emotions differently from adults. They may not always have the words to describe what they are feeling.

Child and expressive therapy uses age-appropriate methods such as:

  • play

  • art

  • storytelling

  • creative expression

to help children explore their emotions and experiences in a safe and supportive environment.

This approach may support children experiencing:

  • emotional difficulties

  • behavioural challenges

  • anxiety or fears

  • family changes (e.g. divorce, relocation)

  • social or school-related concerns

Our practitioners work gently and thoughtfully to:

  • build trust with the child

  • support emotional expression

  • help children develop coping skills

Where appropriate, parents are involved to support the child’s wellbeing beyond sessions.
